Good things come to those who wait or should I say to those who are daring enough to take on wonderful challenges?
On this note, let me tell you about my most thrilling and fulfilling experience of my career so far!
London Graduate Fashion Week that took place at the Truman Brewery in the heart of East London.
Graduate Fashion Week is a massive fashion event where 36 of the UK’s leading Fashion Universities are propelling the careers of the UK’s brightest fashion talent in the fashion industry in front of fashion icons and VIPs like: Vivienne Westwood, Christopher Bailey , Victoria Beckham, Gok Wan, Sarah Harris, Ryan Lo, Julie Herd and many others.
I had the pleasure of working with London Beauty Artists and 3INA as lead make-up artist for this amazing event.
Below you will see some of my favourite pictures from the demonstration of the looks I worked on for the emerging fashion designers trying to translate their vision into reality.
Long story short:
4 beautiful days of fashion (make-up) at its finest, 7 shows and 100 + stunning models a day with a team of 12 beautiful and talented make-up artists, 3INA make-up artist Sophie Costa, managers (Hey Seema, Malika and Marta!) and cool photographers (Corinna Luce, Nathan Scott, Finchely Thompson, Amaryllis Knight, Justyna Radon, Danny Woodward, Rory James and many more).
I also had to do a short interview (the first one ever!) for GFW and I remember clearly one question I was asked about any advice I could give to fashion graduates: ‘Don’t be afraid to make your voice heard!’ that was the best I could come up with and I will make sure I will follow my own piece of wisdom.
My absolute favourite designer was Kate Clarke graduating Kingston University, I added a few looks of her collection on the catwalk at Graduate Fashion Week 2017, shot by Danny Woodward.
Finally I leave you with these stunning visuals and wish you all a lovely evening!
All my love,
P.S. More pictures and infos in British Vogue 😉
